I’m taking a closer look inside Scientology’s new campaign: “The Golden Age for the Next Generation.” It’s a global, multi-language program targeting children as young as 7—framed as education, but it deserves a deeper conversation. I’m a third-generation, born-in former member of Scientology. I’m also an author and activist. After graduating from a Scientology-run high school, I went on to earn my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I worked as a lead preschool teacher in a well-established program serving children through 5th grade, and later completed my Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood Education—while raising my own kids.
